Team India leaves for England today to defend the ICC Twenty20 World Cup title. Skipper MS Dhoni says he is happy with the squad ad he expressed confidence that India would be able to repeat the magic and retain the Twenty20 World Cup. "We have a team with outstanding talent. We can defend our title, if we play to our potential", said Dhoni before he boarded the flight.

India had won the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, under Dhoni's captaincy. The 2009 Twenty20 World Cup will be played from June 5-21 across three venues in England.

The team would have a week in England to get used to the conditions. India have their first game of their title defence against Bangladesh on June 6. But before that they play warm-up matches against New Zealand next Monday and against Pakistan on Wednesday.

Most of the players in this outfit played in the Indian Premier League in South Africa and the team is regarded as favourites by quite a few experts around the world.

In a press conference before the team flew for England, skipper Dhoni said his team, though a little tired after the hectic IPL, was balanced and he was confident India would be able to retain the Twenty20 crown.

"I am happy with the balance in our squad. Hopefully, we can defend out title. When you play so many matches you do get tired, after all its a human body, but it (IPL) helped us a lot in terms of exposure and skills. So it was more beneficial for us," he said.

Meanwhile, skipper MS Dhoni confirmed that Zaheer Khan is not fully fit and may miss out 2/3 matches in the beginning. India would be banking on the pacers like Ishant Sharma and RP Singh in the seamer-friendly conditions in England. India and Pakistan will play a friendly match on June 3.

Team India:
Mahendra Dhoni (Captain and Wicket Keeper), Virender Sehwag (Vice Captain), Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Rudra Pratap Singh, Pragyan Ojha and Ishant Sharma.
