South Africa have reached the Super Eights of the World Twenty20 after beating Afghanistan by 59 runs in their final Group C clash in Bridgetown.
After posting a total of 139 for seven from their 20 overs South Africa skittled their opponents for 80 in 16 overs.

England will play Pakistan in the opening game of the World Twenty20 Super Eights after Australia's win over Bangladesh eased the defending champions' passage to the next stage.
Pakistan had faced elimination if Bangladesh beat Australia with a high enough run-rate but early wickets ended their chances after they had restricted their opponents to a total of 141 for seven.

Fast bowler Mitchell Johnson is set to miss Australia's final group clash against Bangladesh in Barbados on Wednesday after picking up an elbow infection.
Although tests have shown that the injury, which is on Johnson's right arm, is not hugely serious, the nature of Wednesday's Group A clash means that Australia would prefer to preserve the left-armer for future endeavours.

When Australia's Michael Clarke took part in the first ever international Twenty20 match, against New Zealand five years ago, the emphasis was very much on "fun".
New Zealand players dressed up in retro kit, with some sporting hairstyles more associated with the 1960s and 70s.
Australia captain Ricky Ponting made 98 as his side won by 44 runs in Auckland but questioned whether the "novelty" of Twenty20 would endure.

Tim Nielsen feels that the perception of Australia being poor in the Twenty20 format is unfair, and believes that his side are capable of winning the World Twenty20.
The competition is the only ICC event Australia have not won, and they have been widely ridiculed for losing to Zimbabwe in 2007 and being dumped out in the first round last year. That meant that they were unseeded when the groups were made up for the tournament in the Caribbean.

Ireland captain William Porterfield was proud to have restored respect to his team after they bowed out of the ICC World Twenty20 following a no-result in their Group D shoot-out with England.
Ireland had restricted tournament big guns England to just 120 for eight at the Guyana National Stadium before rain in Georgetown denied Porterfield's side the opportunity to chase down the vulnerable target.

New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori paid tribute to the performance of Nathan McCullum and Scott Styris following his side's ICC World Twenty20 victory over Zimbabwe in Guyana.
Zimbabwe had made a good start batting first to reach 58 for one in the seventh over. But the bowling of Man of the Match McCullum (three for 16) and Styris (three for five) saw them lose their last nine wickets for just 26 runs, falling to 84 all out.

Muttiah Muralitharan could still feature for Sri Lanka in the World Twenty20, according to captain Kumar Sangakkara, after officials said he'd been ruled out with a groin injury.
A statement released by Sri Lanka Cricket in Colombo earlier on Monday said the star off-spinner had been "advised to rest for two or three weeks" following a groin problem he suffered during the team's two-wicket opening match defeat by New Zealand on Friday.
